A very good friend of mine shared this chocolate cake recipe with me. I approached a little distrustfully to it because of the little number of the ingredients and the fast making.
I putt off for a long time its dressing, but today I decided to make it. I looked in the fridge and the cupboard and I found out that I had the needed ingredients. They are the following: a can of mayonnaise 200 ml, 5 soup spoons of high quality cocoa, a packet of baking powder, 2 tea cups of flour, 1 tea cup of sugar, 1 packet of vanilla, 200 gr. chocolate icing, 50 gr. butter and 1 tea cup of water. Take a bowl, where you’ll prepare your chocolate cake. Sift the dry ingredients – the flour, the baking powder, the cocoa, the vanilla and the sugar. You need to sift the dry ingredients to mix them very well. Beat up in another bowl the mayonnaise and the water till they become homogeneous mixture.
You don’t need a mixer to prepare this chocolate cake. Stir the mixture with a fork or an egg-whisk, as you add in thin sprit the liquid to the dry ingredients. Take a cake tin with a movable bottom and cover the bottom only of the baking form with baking paper, as you line out and cut it out. Pour out the prepared mixture for your chocolate cake and spread it uniformly in the baking form. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes to 180 degrees. You can try if your chocolate cake is ready with the help of a wooden skewer.
Stick the skewer in the cake and if there isn’t any rest of dough, so it‘s ready. Take it out and leave it to chill in the form. It’s the turn of the icing, which you have to prepare for your chocolate cake. Pound up the chocolate icing in small pieces in a fireproof bowl or another suitable dish and melt it on a water bath. When the chocolate is completely molten, take the bowl out of the hot-plate and add the butter, as you stir with vigor to its full absorption. Pour out the chilled chocolate cake with the warm icing and spread it uniformly on its entire surface. Leave the ready cake in the fridge for several hours to harden well the icing. You can garnish this chocolate cake, when you serve it, with some whipped cream. Don’t forget! When you cut it, dip the knife in very hot water to cut the chocolate icing without pounding it up. This way, your chocolate cake pieces will be perfectly cut.
This chocolate cake has an extremely marked chocolate taste and it’s a perfect addition to your coffee!
